This is a question that seems no one has answered satisfactorily, and those who have tried to seems to have based their response on international online statistics, most of which doesn't apply in developing countries.

This is a question that seems no one has answered satisfactorily, and those who have tried to seems to have based their response on international online statistics, most of which doesn't apply in developing countries.
I decided to do a through research on online surveys, and my I was specifically looking :
- Best survey sites for Kenyans.
- Highest paying survey sites and
- How much can one make with online surveys.
In order to get as accurate information as possible, after identifying those survey sites which accept Kenyan panelists I signed up with the following:
- Triaba Kenya
- Mobrog
- Afrisight
- Palm research
- Surveysavvy
- e-RG/Elite
- Opinion App
I realized that most of these survey sites have almost similar characteristics which include
- Easy registration process. Most of them just require your name and email address. Once you hit sign up, a confirmation link will be sent to the email address you provided. Click this link and your account will be activated.
- Profile questions. All the survey sites I analyzed require you to fill a set of profile questions, commonly known as demographic questions. You are required to qive your details on issues like family, education, health, occupation, hobbies etc. These are the responses which will determine if you are suitable for a qiven survey or not.
- All the above survey sites invite you through email whenever there is a paid email available for you. However, the invitation does not mean you automatically qualify for the same.
- Rewards. Since these are paid surveys, you will be rewarded for your participation. Rewards vary depending on the site, but generally they include rewards like airtime, gift cards, invitation to participate in a weekly or monthly draw, shopping vouchers, G-codes and Cash.
- Survey frequency. This means how many surveys you can receive from a sarvey site over a given period of time.
Now to the question, how much can you earn with online surveys in Kenya?
Many site pay between USD 1.3 and $5, depending on the duration and complexity of the survey.
Out of the survey sites I enrolled only mobrog gave me the highest number of Surveys, 3 survey. I qualified for 1 and I was paid 0.41 for the survey. The second one I didn't complete, so it was a wasted effort. The third one I was told I didn't qualify.
E-Research paid me 0.09 for updating my profile, and they were good enough to deposit the same to my PayPal account.
Palm research has been sending me daily survey link invites. But guess what, I have never qualified for a single survey. Others like afrisight and Triaba, have never send me even a single survey invite.
Of the above we would conclude that mobrog is the best of all.
But the minimum cash out for mobrog is $5.51 and so far I have $0.41 in three months. That means we can't even estimate how many more months it will take to reach the minimum cash out.( when I will you will know)
Conclusion.
Most articles about online money making opportunities list surveys as one way of earning money online. But only those who claim to have been lucky to cash out any amount from survey sites are from developed countries.
Many survey sites have developed smart ways of ensuring they will never pay you, and as from the above results we are now in a position to positively conclude that YOU WILL NEVER EARN ANY MEANINGFUL INCOME with online surveys in Kenya.
