Palm Research Kenya Review; Should you sign up for Palm Research Kenya?

Palm research Kenya is part of palm research which is an international survey site based in the US. Unlike many US based online survey sites, palm research accepts African panelists including Kenyans.
Palm research Kenya panelists can earn money through filling out online surveys, testing new products or referring new members. If you are looking for a survey site to earn some extra money on your free time, then you can try out this site but first read through this post so as to make an informed decision.

Advantages of palm research Kenya.
As compared to other survey sites which accept Kenyan panelists, palm research has many advantages which include:
  • Palm research has a lot of survey questions which if you dedicate your time to filling them can earn you some reasonable amount. There is also a dedicated button for daily surveys of around $ 0.5 each and members can fill up to a maximum of 3 surveys per day.
  • Unlike other Survey sites in Kenya, palm research Kenya pays you real money to fill out surveys. Others just promise you gift cards or airtime which is not meaningful for anyone who would like to make real money online.
  • Most of their surveys don't require a lot of time, about a maximum of 10 minutes.

Note that there is now a good partnership between PayPal and M-pesa, and you can easily transfer the money once it is credited to your PayPal account directly to Mpesa.

Shortcomings of palm research Kenya
Like any other research site, palm research seems to also have a set of its own shortcomings which include:
Poor mobile site set up. When you look at the general design of palm research website, it doesn't look like that of an international organization. Navigating through various questions is quite hectic and I think this was done intentionally by palm research. Why?
Under the daily surveys, you are only allowed to fill up to three surveys per day. If you exceed this, your account will be terminated and you will loose all your earnings. What is interesting to note is that you can be given more than three daily surveys, and there is no proper indicator of how many daily surveys you have filled, so the probability of making a mistake is quite high.
While doing my research on palm research, I came across this comment on surveypolice.com
".......in 2011 and 2012 I had my payouts no problem. In 2013 I requested a payout, and when it didn't arrive I tried to log in and check and found my account had been suspended. And my hard-earned survey cash would not be sent to me, ever.
I emailed and complained and was told that it was because I breached their rules. I was doing more than one daily survey per day...." (Source: surveypolice.com)
There are also other complaints including some members claiming that during the initial registration period, they are given surveys but when they are almost reaching the payment threshold they are no more surveys, meaning they will never get paid.

Should you Sign up for Palm research Kenya?
This is a survey site I would have easily given a rating of 4 out of 4, but from the many complains I have seen about palm research I had to change my rating to half.
Since most of these complaints seems to be years ago, the only way to find out is to sign up and wait, but it would be not good to spend your time and resources to work for someone only to wake up one morning and find all your earnings gone.
I therefore suggest that before signing up for this site, first look around and see if you can find a more trusted one.
I had to update this post to give my honest opinion based on my personal experience with palm research, after being an active member for a while now.
I have been doing a research for a while now, and wanted to answer the following questions:
1. Which survey sites accept Kenyan panelists?
2. How much can one make while filling online surveys in Kenya/Africa?
3.Which is the best survey site for Kenyans?

One site I was interested in is Palm research, and out of the many survey sites I have interacted with, palm research is the most useless of all.
Palm research

Why? It keeps sending me daily surveys but when I click the link I reach a dead end, " no more surveys to fill"

Workmines review. Is workmines finally gone under?

It was a simple SMS that promised I could earn up to Ksh.8,400 approximately USD.84 per week just watching YouTube and Netflix ads. First I didn't mind about it. But then, something got my attention. This was an online money making opportunity, promising to pay good money and in local currencies.....This looked good to be true. I immediately started doing my research about this site, and as it turned out there was a catch. Knowing that many would fall for this scam, I published my review which I explained in detail why I would not sign up for such a deal, and hope I helped those who came across it.
